Freaky Friday~

Wow, I can't believe it's already Friday again.
This week was just fast, I guess, haha. Even though I didn't do much.

So last Friday was the Shakespeare DTASC Showcase.
And on Saturday was the actual DTASC competition.
I allowed Emily to talk me into going to judge, which I kind of regretted immediately, haha.
I woke up at 5:45am and it was freeeeeeeezing.
But we did drive with my dad so it was nice not going on the bus, haha. That would have definitely sucked.

So the first round we judged Division A (so middle schoolers) Tech.
I did Set/Lights/Graphics and Emily got to do Costumes. So not fair.
But man, it was so terrible.
These sets were all made out of styrofoam and cardboard and they were just so sloppy.
So that sucked. Haha.
I ended an hour before Emily so I knitted a little and talked to my dad.

When Emily was done we went to see if we could judge another round but they weren't gonna be doing that until after lunch so we just hungout with drama kids for awhile.
Then we ate lunch in the judges room with Farah and Graz.
If you think Graz hates you, well he'll like you when you graduate. Trust me, I know.
So the lunch was spaghetti with peas and this really sweet sauce. It was weird.
But afterwards Emily and I judged A Division finals for Theme Collage.
I saw suuuuuch good scenes.
It was really awesome.

After that I think we just chilled for awhile and then we got to judge Division B Finals.
I did Romantic Couples and Emily did Theme Collage again.
I saw some really good scenes there too.
And I finished before Emily again so I just chilled with my dad and drama kids and ate candy, haha.
When Emily was done we got our money.
We thought we'd get paid around $30. We got... $60. Sooo freaking awesome.

We left pretty shortly after but not before I got Ryan Kent to shut the hell up.
He was complaining because all of Hesperia's scenes didn't make semis and we was saying,
"It's a conspiracy against us!" and "We didn't make it because we didn't have backflips or chair spinning."
And I just looked him in the eyes and said, "Maybe your scenes were just bad."
And he shut right up, haha.
I essentially got paid $60 to make Ryan Kent feel like crap.

Anyways we left and that was my Saturday.

On Sunday after I worked out I watched New York, I Love You.
If you remember I just talked about watching Paris, je t'aime and New York, I Love You came out after trying to do the same thing but in New York.
I really don't think it was as good as Paris, je t'aime.
But it was okay.

This week I also watched Clueless.
I don't know, I just really wanted to watch it.
I'm not sure if I've seen this before or not but I had no idea Paul Rudd was in it!
I love Paul Rudd!
I'd marry Paul Rudd if I could. Haha. I looooveee him.
And this movie is just toooo funny and so 90s.

A movie I didn't watch but found out about is Harry Brown.
I love Michael Caine and this looks soooo goood!
Michael Caine killing British people? Come on!
What a good combination~

I don't listen to CDs very often.
I just listen to the radio and when I'm at home I just don't listen to anything, haha.
But lately I've had these 3 albums on repeat.

Death Cab for Cutie's Narrow Stairs.
This is Death Cab for Cuties latest CD and I love it, it's just the right amount of happy and sad songs.
Some happy sounding songs with sad lyrics is what I'm all about, haha.

Pink Floyd's The Wall
I love this album so much. I especially listen to it when I drive through the Grapevine to Tyler's house.
It's just one of the best albums of all time. Ever.
And the movie is soooo amazing too.

Radiohead's The Bends
This is the one that I've been listening to the most.
It's definitely my favourite Radiohead album (closely followed by Hail to the Thief) and I've just been addicted to it lately.
I get addicted to this CD periodically and right now is just one of those times, haha.

Well that's all for this week.
And tomorrow there will be a workout at Royal Oak.
Meet in front of Royal Oak Commons at 10am.

I hope you have a good weekend. (:

Workout Blog #3

Yeah, it's Monday, so what?
I had homework yesterday. Haha.

So yesterday I walked two miles because I could not put forth the energy or motivation to jog or run.
But two miles is pretty far.

So here are the standings so far.

I rearranged it so that the image is smaller and easier to see.
So yeah, everyone, just keep working out and maybe start eating a little less sweets, haha.

Five tips!
  • Odds are you're eating too fast. Try holding a conversation while having a meal so you're not gulping down more than you need to feel full.
  • Take a brisk walk before lunch or dinner. Not only will you get in some exercise, you're less likely to choose something unhealthy after a little movement.
  • Never eat any snack food out of the box, carton or bag it came in. You're less likely to overeat if you separate snacks into appropriate fist-sized servings.
  • Eating liquid-based foods such as natural smoothies and low-sodium soup can help you cut back on calories yet feel full.
  • A pedometer can help keep track of your steps. If you're not getting 10,000 steps a day, you’re not moving enough.

Stay motivated and I'll see you next week!

Freaky Friday~

Hello!
How are you?
Did you have a good week?
Mine was okay, didn't do much. Just chilled.

First off, the workout and workout blog will be on Sunday.
Because Saturday I'm going to judge DTASC.
I kind of regret agreeing to do it but I could really use some money.
But dang, it's gonna be such a long day. :/
Anyways. Blog and workout Sunday.
Meet at Royal Oak at 10am on Sunday the 25th if you are interested.

Oh and last Saturday Jessica and I worked out pretty good.
We walked/jogged/ran a mile. Well, she did 5 laps, I guess to show me up or something.
It was pretty awes.

For Easter I got a $25 gift card to Joann's.
And I spent all of it way fast.
I have... 15 cents left on it. Haha.

I got fiberfill because I want to make pillows and knit some toys, sock yarn and I've already started a sock with them, stitch holders for knitting, cupcake fabric, and space fabric which I love way too much, haha.

This week I only watched two movies.
But I think I'm starting to be a movie junkie, haha.
I should just go out more.

Loooooooooove this movie. So much.
It's about this castle in the sky, pirates, princesses, and robots.
Oh and love. Haha.
Idk, it's a Miyazaki movie and I love it.

Total hipster movie, of course.
But so beautiful and so sad and so awesome.
It's 18 different shorts done by a ton of different directors with a ton of different actors.
All of the shorts are about Paris and love in some way.
It's just a really beautiful movie.
And way too sad. ):

So I've been watching this show called "Skins".
It's basically the British "Degrassi".
But everyone has sex and does drugs ten times more.
Oh and everyone dies. Just all the time. Dying.
I'm on the 4th season right now which is the most recent one.
The first two seasons revolved around the top cast and them in college prep or whatever it is in the UK and them doing drugs and doin it and trying to pass school.
The bottom picture is the current cast. I don't know if I like them as much.
But yeah, it's all good.
I guess I'm addicted to it but I get addicted to everything I watch, haha.

Workout Blog #2

Hello!
I'm thinking I'm going to have this blog on Sunday.
But I'm not sure yet.
Depends on how next week goes.

Here's the standings as of now.

Yeah, I don't have everyone's weight which is why I'm thinking about doing it on Sundays but yeah.

So yesterday Jessica and I walked/jogged/ran the mile at Royal Oak.
Well, she did 5 laps to show me up or something.

Alright, here's a few tips~

  • Plan your meals ahead of time. That way you're less likely to make an unhealthy last-minute food choice.
  • Foods with healthy fats such as olives, salmon and walnuts help you feel satisfied.
  • Skipping meals can cause your body to go into a fat-storing starvation mode, making it harder to burn calories.
  • Don't confuse thirst with hunger. Drink a glass of water when you feel hungry to see if that's what you're really craving.
  • Tired of eating your salad on a plate? Fill a whole wheat pita with salad and a splash of lemon for a twist.

So stick to eating healthier and trying to get in 30 minutes of working out daily.
Have a good week. (:

Freaky Friday~

Hellooooooooooo, have a good week?
I've definitely had better but meh.

I've decided to just let anyone that wants to join my Weight Loss Competition can just join whenever.
I don't want to deny working out with friends to people, haha.
So here's the chart again, now with Francesca.

And our first group workout is tomorrow!
We're going to meet in the Royal Oak Parking lot in front of the Royal Oak commons at 10am.
Don't forget, and tell your friends.
And if you need a ride, I'd like to know by tonight, thank youuuuu.

Alright, moving on.
After I finished my blog last time I watched No Country for Old Men.
I really enjoyed it. It was very, very, very similar to the book which I really liked.
I definitely recommend this movie, especially if you like guns and blood and stuff.
Haha. And the book is actually a bit bloodier.

Oh, and look at what I found out about.
KLOS is having a pet adoption day with the spcaLA.
I told my dad about it and he said yesssss.
I really want a cat, but I don't think anyone else in my family does...
Hahhaa. Whatever. I'm gonna get one!
If you'd like to learn more about this event the link is here.

Tina Fey hosted SNL this week.
I love her. Sooooo much omfgggg.
And Justin Beaver was okay... I guess.
Not his music, though. That sucked.

On Monday while chillin wif some friends we watched the newest Adventure Time!
If you haven't seen this show YOU'RE STUPID.
It's just toooo funny.
If you've ever heard of "Superjail" it's kind of like that, but for kids.
Tooooo goooood.

Cutest purse ever!
Too bad it costs $68 ):
Found here.

Oh, and Laurren cut my hair!
Just my bangs for now but I like them~~~

If you follow me on twitter you've probably heard that I downloaded all 65 episodes of Jem & the Holograms.
And everyone keeps asking me, "What's Jem & the Holograms?"
First off, ya stupid.
Second off, my favourite childhood show, which I have come to find out is really terrible, haha.
I finished watching alllll 65 of them this week.
I don't know why, they sucked really badly. Hahhaa.
And the last episode was lame.
But whatevaaaa.
Yup, this was my life for the past couple of weeks.

SIDE NOTE:
Okay so on Jem & the Holograms the main character's name is Jerrica Benton and she takes on the alter ego of Jem. No one knows that they are the same person except for her bandmates and, like, the president of the United States.
So Jerrica has a boyfriend named Rio. Alright? Well, when Jem and Rio hangout she's comfortable around him because they've been dating, only with her as Jerrica.
So Jem and Rio kiss and hug and stuff all of the time.
I don't know if you realize this but that is technically cheating.
Yes, it's with herself but Rio doesn't know that!
He doesn't tell Jerrica or Jem that he loves both of them.
And Jerrica sees noooo problem with this.
Sooooo dumb.
Whatever, end side note.

Yesterday I had cramps the size of Jupiter so I laid in bed and watched movies.
A lot of movies.

A Wes Anderson movie, because I'm on that kick lately, and it was really good.
It's about 3 brothers who haven't talked since their fathers death and them traveling across India.
I just always love the colors, music, and actors in Wes Anderson movies.
Always.

This is a short film that goes with The Darjeeling Limited
I thought it was interesting but I can just never comprehend Natalie Portman having sex or being a bitch.
Ever. It's just weird to me.
She seems like a nice naïve little girl who doesn't know what sex is. I don't know.

Another Wes Anderson movie. This was Jason Schwartzman debut movie and he was only 17 years old!
That's so awesome.
It's very "Wes Anderson-y". Yeah, I just made that up but if you've seen any Wes Anderson films you know what I mean.
I liked it a lot. It was goooood.

Not a Wes Anderson movie but I watched it because I was in the mood for weird movies.
It's about this guy named Stephane and he sometimes has trouble differentiating real life and his dreams.
I love it. I love the sets and the props and all of the dream scenes.
It's a beautiful movie.

Wes Anderson's first film and thus completing my goal of seeing all of his movies.
I kind of liked it.
It was before Wes Anderson really developed his style, as seen in his other movies, but you can still see it.
It was also Luke and Owen Wilson's first movie.
I guess Andrew Wilson was in it too but I don't recall him... I don't know what he looks like either so yeah, haha.
I thought it was slow at parts but that might also be because I was watching movies allll day and I'm not the biggest movie fan, don't ask why, because I don't know.
The end was awesome though.

Well, I suppose that's all for this week.
I really need to get up and get some stuff done today but these cramps have a different idea, hah.

I hope you have a good weekend and see you fellow work out buddies tomorrow. (:

Oh, and here is one of the funniest SNL digital shorts ever.
(btw the end is grossssssssssss)

Workout Blog #1

Hello~
Happy Saturday. (:

Excited to start dieting and exercising?
I am. I bought a bunch of fruit and healthy stuff at the grocery store today.

So here's everyone who is competing.

I know some other people said they wanted to join as well but haven't sent me their information.
I'll give you until Sunday night, everyone~

Here's just a few tips to get you started:
  • Drink 8 glasses of water a day
  • Concerning portions, just take a much larger portion of vegetables than meat and then you'll be full and healthy
  • To flush out extra water aim to drink 1/2 lemon worth of juice over the course of a day by putting little bits in your drinking water all day
  • Take the stairs instead of the escalator
  • Get 8 hours of sleep a night
And there will be more of these next week.
And next Saturday there is going to be a workout so make sure you check out my Freak Friday blog for that information.

And of course, I'm sure you want to know what the prize is, haha.

You'll get a knitted present from me!
Whatever you want, just no sweaters, haha.
A toy, scarf, slippers, or mittens.

And of course, losing weight and stuff. Haha.

And if you ever have any questions or want to work out during the week, I'm available.
Just not Mondays and Wednesdays.
Have a good first week. (:

Freaky Friday~

Wasssssup?
Have a good week?
Mine was kind of long and school was blerg.
I left Clovis on Sunday at 2pm and it was such a long trip. I hate taking the train and bus but Tyler always convinces me to just do it.
It takes way too long~
And Sunday night I stayed up late to do homework so of course school sucked, haha.

Anyways, did you read about my weight loss competition?
It's just one post down~
Basically I'll keep track of you weight for 8 weeks and then whoever loses the most weight wins a prize!

FYI
  • I still need some peoples information: Name, weight, age, height, etc. Please give me that asap, definitely by 10am tomorrow
  • There is no workout tomorrow but there will be one next Saturday the 17th
  • I will post all information concerning future workouts here
  • The weekly weight loss blog will be on Saturdays
I'm really excited to finally get in shape. (:

This week I finished reading No Country for Old Men.
Good read.
The end was really annoying, though. It should have tied up everything better.
I'm going to watch the movie today.
I'll let you know how that goes.

Want to give me $130?
Cutest moccasins ever found here.
But seriously, I need some moccasins.
Where did you get yours?

Cookies are serious.
If I was you, I'd watch this.
Or you may regret it for the rest of your life.

Yesterday I went to the Griffith Observatory.
It was hot and I had to park really far and it was suuuuuper crowded.
But it was pretty interesting and I got to see a real life Tesla Coil~
And the view of course is super awesome.
I really wanna go on a picnic here with Tylerrrrr<33333

Well, today I have some big plans.
I'm going to finally clean my room, watch Burn After Reading, and watch No Country for Old Men.
Maybe a bit of knitting too.
I hope you have a good weekend. (:
And come back tomorrow for work-out blogz0rz.

And I'll close with a weird-o video.

America's Big Fat Losers

I'm tired of my weight.
I'm tired of saying I'm going to start working out and never doing it.
So I came up with a plan to motivate me and you!

It's a competition to see who can lose weight the fastest!

Every week I will post my weight loss, and yours, and the winner after 8 weeks wins a wonderful prize~
There will actually be 2 winners.
Whoever loses the most pounds and whoever loses the most % of their body weight.
Because they're different and just pounds isn't fair when everyone has different body types and blah blah blah.

I want to start this Saturday!
It will go from April 10th until June 5th which is 8 weeks/2 months.
This can be your excuse to finally stop saying, "I'll start working out next week" and "I can just eat one Oreo... Or two... Or seven..."

Reasons to join this competition:
* Prom is just around the corner, kiddies
* And so is summer, duh!
* You'll feel more confident in whatever you wear
* It'll help you start a work out routine you can continue long after this is over
* It's gonna be a ton of fun~

So what I need from you by Saturday is:
* A "yes I would love to do this!"
* Name
* Age
* Weight
* Height
* (optional) A before picture

Every week I will post tips to lose weight in a healthy way and you can contribute with comments on what works for you or what you've heard works.

And every Saturday there will be
Weekly Workout Meetups!

If you live in the 626/909 area we will meet for a weekly run!
Or whatever fun exercises we come up with.
Like maybe a soccer game, or football, or whatever.

That's right,
8 weeks of competitive motivation,
a chance to hangout and workout with friends,
I'll keep track of how much you're losing,
and
Of course the chance to win a prize.

And what's the prize you ask?
You'll just have to wait until Saturday to find out. (:

Please comment, Facebook, Twitter, or email me (at zabrinskii@gmail.com) if you are interested or have any questions or whatever.
I'm really excited for this and I hope you are too.

(:

Freaky Friday~

Are you excited for the weekend?
And for my high school friends, excited for spring break?
I know that you areee~~~

I have had an awesome week.
Whenever Tyler's here I actually hang out with people and do things!
I know, weird, right?
Haha, so anyways, here we gooooooooo~~~

---
So Tyler decided he wanted to bench press me.
Afterwards he started to trip me and I screamed, "No! I have a cookie!"
As if that would be important enough for him to stop.
And basically everything I say is hilarious and gets repeated by us 100 times.

"Ey man, I'm gonna kill you!"
"No please! I have cookies at home! They'll go bad!"

 ---
Just fyi Cholas do NOT like Panic! at the Disco.

---
We also hung out with Michelle a lot.
Pretty much the majority of the time.
And she says some funny things sometimes...
But not as many funny things as me, of course.

"You guys wanna watch a movie?"
"Yeah. But only a good one... So not anime."
"F***!"

 ---

So the new Ben & Jerry's flavours are out for this year.
And Milk & Cookies is the best ice cream I have ever eaten.
It's like cookies and cream with tons of cookies.
It kind of tastes like the Tollhouse ice cream cookie sandwiches.
But man, I could eat a pound of it.

 ---

Knocked Up
I have no idea why this took me so long to watch, it was absolutely hilarious.
I was laughing the whooooooole tiiiiime.
"You know what I did yesterday? I googled 'murder'."

---

~Hot Chip~
Okay, so I can't embed the video so here's the link.
Go watch it and come back. I'll wait.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaCZN2N6Q_I&feature=related

SO WEIRD, RIGHT?
And, as you will come to find out, very addicting.
Haha.

---
Frank & Sons
So on Saturday I went to Frank & Sons with Tyler, Jessica, and Chance.
Tyler just hung out with some friends and talked about Magic the Gathering and Jessica, Chance, and I walked around and were weirded out by all of the nerds. Haha.
But it was nice to hang out with Chance, especially after such a long time.

---
Chris's house
So me and Chris Huerta are homies, dawg.
But we never hang out.
So Tyler and I went over to Chris's and hung out with him, Jonathan, and Casey.
We mostly just sat and watched Youtube videos and ate pizza.

"Jesu Christ-o! A crocodilloooooooo!"

---

On Sunday Tyler, Michelle, and I were hanging out and went on a bike ride~~
We went to Subway and ate some sammiches and then went to Royal Oak and played Bocce Ball.
Yeah, we're old people, so what?
But dang, I need to work out more.
The next day I had never felt more sore.

"I couldn't afford a mortar and pestle so I just bought 2 pestles. It's not working out so well. I lose everything I pestle."

---

 Yogurtland
I haven't had Yogurtland since the summer, I think.
But it's so good.
Tyler ate well OVER A POUND OF YOGURT.
Hahahaha.
Also, they have this new Red Velvet Cupcake Batter flavour and it's suuuuper goood.

---

Scarface... Done by children

---

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
 Cheesiest. Movie. Ever.
Enough said.
---

On Wednesday we played Little Big Planet with Tyler's friends Bonin and Brisky.
I hate that game.
The end.

"I can't eat Cheese Nips before Saturday!"

---

Tyler doesn't know any celebrities or their names.
Ever.

"Is that Mike Goldblum?"
"JEFF Goldblum."
"Who's Mike Goldblum?"
"Nobody. You just made him up."

---

Tyler bought a can of nacho cheese last night.
Six pounds of nacho cheese.
Yup.
Cheese fries for daaaaaaaaaays.

---

I bought more yarn.
I know, I need to stop.
But it was for a specific project for a friend!
And then I bought myself some too... Hahaha.
These are for me.
I just love the green so much.
And grey is one of my favourite shades of black~~~

For Roseanna I am making this hat called ETTA.

With this yarn.
It's called "Denim Twist", ooooohhhhh.
Hahaha.

---

I have also been asked to make a... Prom dress!
"Oh god Jacqui not again!"
Haha. I think it'll be much easier since: a) it's not for me, so I won't procrastinate and b) I only have school 2 days a week and I get soooo boooored.

---

But I did finish something this week!
A lobsterrrrrrrrrrr. (:
It's my first ever toy and I'm pretty freaking proud.

---

Well, this is my longest blog in a long time and I hope you like it.
I'll leave you with another weird music video but addicting song.
