Just a quickie

Happy Monday!

And haha to all of my high school friends who had to start today.

Tyler starts on the 11th and I start February 22nd so it's just party time all of the time.

I've had a pretty good new year so far.

I've hung out with good friends and watched good movies and started some knitting projects and rearranged my desk and it's just pretty awesome.

So here is the hat I finished but on it's owner.

It took me longer than it should have but, eh.

And I made a few mistakes but now I just know what to do when I make it next time.

Yes, I'm sure I'm going to make this a couple more times.

And I had a crazy idea to switch the sides where my computer and sewing machine are on my desk and I overall did not like it.

But when I switched them back I was able to organize my junk and I love how it looks now.

My dad finally drilled a hole for the wall socket and it is not flush against the wall and I moved it to the left a little bit.

I finally got some bulletin boards and I just need to put stuff on them! Haha.

Well, this was just a short blog to let you see some sweet stuff and for me to get it out of my system, haha.

Freaky Friday~~

1. Tofurky

I really don't care if you think it's stupid or looks totally gross or wah wah wah.

I love it.

It tastes soooo good. And it's never dry like real turkey.

And leftover cold tofurky sandwiches are my faaaavouriteee~~

2. Christmas lights

 I read a lot of blogs but I get a lot of inspiration from this one: http://www.abeautifulmess.typepad.com/

Her name is Elsie and she had some photos of her and friends wrapped in Christmas lights.

I thought... Hm. That looks cute. Maybe I could put some around my desk?

And then I did! Hahaha. As you can see from the top picture.

It really helps a lot when I want to sew because that side of my room is the darkest. Hahaa.

And then this week Jessica and I cleaned her room and I put lights on her bed too!

Hahaha. I like hers a lot~~~

3. Hoodies

 I really only wear one jacket and that's my Tegan and Sara jacket.

Meagan and I got matching ones at their show at the Glasshouse and I loooove it.

It's warm and  it's not really tight on my arms and it's red and has raccoons on it!

But I really need new jackets.

I put two on my Christmas list and I'm excited. Haha.

What I really want is a grey hoodie and then I'm going to sew red accents on so it kind of looks like the hotel jackets from The Royal Tenenbaums.

 This is a really bad screen-shot but there are three red stripes on the cuff and red piping on the lapel.

And it's inspired me to make a badass hoodie.

Can't wait~~

4. Embroidery

 I have always loved embroidery.

I got a ton of embroidery floss last year for Christmas and some embroidery hoops.

But I didn't even attempt to do anything.

Hahaha.

But I am feeling very inspired by all of these pictures so maybe I'll finally make an attempt at it.

Haha.

Eeehhhhh. I can't think of a 5th one.

At least one that I am content with.

So I'm gonna leave it at 4, even though I hate even numbers~~

So anyways, this week Jessica and I finally cleaned her room.

I don't have before pictures but I don't really care.

It was disgusting.

But look at it now~~

There's a floor!

It's still messy under the bed, in the closet, and in the drawers but whatever.

It looks clean and that's all that matters. Haha.

Looking back at this week I realize it was a lot of fun.

I hung out with Laurren, Casey, went to a party (lol), had Thanksgiving, and got stuff done.

And I am very happy about that.

And one last thing:

Today is my anniversary of becoming a pescetarian.

It's been 5 years.

Isn't that so insane?

That's like a child that's ready to enter kindergarten.

INSANE.

But just goes to show, I am way more dedicated than Krista.

BEEYATCH. Hahaha.

Veterans Day

Things I got done because school was closed today:

1. Washed all dirty clothes

2. Washed sheets

3. Washed comforter

4. Charged my Zune

5. Cleaned off and organized my desk

6. Organized my shoes

7. Colour-coded one shelf of my books

8. And my manga, but it didn't make a very noticeable difference.

9. Hemmed my jeans (FINALLY)

10. Changed the time on my wall clock (FINALLY)

11. Found my headphones

12. Made a little stamp

13. Listened to Tegan & Sara and Say Anything over and over and over...

And this weekend I am hoping to start posting pictures of things I am selling.

Things I've made and things I have no use for any more.

So yeaaahhh. But today has been good.

But Laurren's coming over soon and it's going to suuuuuuuuuck.

Freaky Friday~~

I'm in Fresno again but I'm going to do five! Yay!

1. White/grey duvet covers and bedding and curtains.

I have a black comforter and all it does is show stains and lint and hair and it's starting to get annoying.

And I realized my room is black and pink like some sort of Hot Topic display.

So no thanks. I want some white linens~

2. Bejeweled.

OH GOD I COULD PLAYED BEJEWELED 24/7

IT MAKES ME LATE FOR SCHOOL, I FORGET TO EAT, I WISH I WAS PLAYING RIGHT NOWWW

3. Hershey's Cookies and Cream.

I've been craving these allll weeeeek.

Jessica got me a King Size one and I gobbled that down.

Sooo yummmmmy. I want one nooowww.

4. Tumblr.

I have been thinking about getting one for awhile.

So I did. Haha.

It's just a blog where you can post pictures and songs and videos and stuff.

My Blogger is for talking about me but Tumblr is just for pictures and songs I find during the week.

5. Sainthood by Tegan and Sara

Soooooooooo goooooooooooood.

It came out on October 27th and ever since it's been on my computer, I haven't stopped listening to it.

I listened to it, like, five times on the drive up here.

It's really goooood omgmggmmg.

You have no ideaaaa.

When I first heard it I knew it was different.

It's louder, a bit rock-ier. Maybe pop-ier.

Basically something you'd hear on the radio.

But I don't mind.

It's still good. And they are still my favoouuurite.

I like every song on it. Seriously.

So, So Jealous had "Speak Slow" and The Con had "Hop a Plane" and Sainthood has "Northshore".

And oh, it's good.

That little pop song always rules.

Their single is "Hell" and there is already a music video for it!

Yeah, I don't know what's going on either.

So yeah, pretty exciting week. Haha.

Well, Tyler's at school right now but when he gets home we're going to go shopping for Halloween costumes!

Trust me, we're going to be cute.

I'm also going to be trick or treating for the first time since Freshman year.

Don't ask, bad experience.

But hopefully this year will be good.

I have some high hopes.

This is going to be a loooong blog post so prepare yourself.

These are my obsessionssss~~~

1. Bed Canopies

 

 I just love the feeling of a cave, of being enclosed.

And I want one so bad. I'd make one but my big window is right next to my bed so what's the point of that? Haha.

2. Edgar Degas

I've always liked Edgar Degas because I loooove ballerinas. But yesterday I went to the Norton Simon museum with my drawing class and I got to see, like, 100 of his sculptures and a lot of his non-ballerina paintings. Haha.

Side Story: So yesterday I went to the Norton Simon museum in Pasadena. A girl from my class, Hillary, carpooled with me. We left super early and got there in, like, 20 minutes. We thought it'd take an hour so we had some time... It was on Colorado Blvd so we walked over to Urban Outfitters. We walked around there a bit and made fun of the ugly clothes on sale and then we walked back to the museum.

We waited outside with some classmates for awhile because, surprise! Fatemah, the professor, was late. Haha, she's always late. Even for class.

Then Hillary and I walked around and looked at the paintings.

There was a lot of Edgar Degas, some Picasso, and a Monet. I looooove Monet. Probably one of my favourite painters. (:

Anyways, Hillary wasn't very interested and texted the whole time but whatevs, I got to see the paintings, just not read the information on them. :/

So yeah, we were done at around 1:30pm so we decided to leave.

When I pulled out of the parking spot, something felt wrong...

I had a flat tire on the front right. ):

I felt bad because Hillary had another class to get to so I told her to see if she could get a ride from someone else.

I went and parked and got down to business.

I jacked up the car and started to unscrew the lug nuts. But every time I tried to turn them, the tire would spin. So annoying.

And then one of my classmates Michelle came over and offered to help. (:

She held the tire in place while I turned the nuts.

Hillary couldn't find a ride but it was okay because it only took under a half an hour to do.

I'm pretty proud of myself.

So after that I took Hillary back to school, picked up Jessica and came home.

Yesterday was ridiculouuuuuus.

3. Black bunnies

Bunnies always have, and always will be my favourite animal.

But black ones... They are so sleek and perfect.

I love themmmm.

4. Entirely black outfits

I don't know why, I just love it. It's so sleek. Like black bunnies. Haha.

I especially love the black pantyhose with black open-toe high heels like Emily Deschanel is wearing in the first picture.

So sexxxxxy.

5. And... I don't want to admit it but... Farmville.

I always said that Farmville was lame.

Then one day Tyler made me harvest his crops.

And then I kept checking his farm and I just got obsessed with it.

So I just made my own.

I've gotten to level 11 in, like, three days, though. So yeah.

Pretty cool. Haha.

In other news, my Threadless shirt came today!

Soooo exciiiiited. (:

And Tyler's shirt came too but I can't post that because it's one of his Christmas presents. (;

I've been working on wallets and I'm running out of fabric!

It's so weird not having my fabric drawer totally filled.

I'm hoping to open an etsy shop by next weekend.

Things I have to do today:

1. Clean off desk

2. Finish half-completed wallets

3. Make 'zebraskiin' labels

4. Laundry

5. Buy fabric

6. Buy yarn

7. Work on Christmas presents

8. Figure out what to get Jessica for her birthday

9. Take pictures

10. Plan diet and exercise routine...

Yup. Starting tomorrow I'm going on a diet.

I'm lazy and eat sweets, like, every day.

It's gotta end.

I'm just getting bigger and bigger.

So yeah, that's what I have to do today.

Quite a bit so I should probably get started on it...

I hope this blog made up for only posting two blogs in two weeks.

These are strictly craft books and art/craft supplies.

It'd be better if I knew how to resize pictures on here.

But nope Vista doesn't allow that. >:/

Well, that's my room.

I was really happy when I started this but now I'm annoyed because of the pictures.

They look like poopy.

Whatever.

I like my room and the state it's in and I'm going to try and keep it that way.

Two Posts for the Price of One!

I just felt so lame for that little baby post that I'll do another one to make up for it. (:

So anyways, I charged some batteries at school and was able to take some pictures!

 

I finished row five on Tyler's hat last night I am very excited.

I love being far enough to be able to see the ribbing. It also makes it easier to remember what stitch to do. 

This is the picture I've been working on in drawing for, like, two weeks now.

You can't really see the detail but it's taken awhile.

I wish I could take a better picture but, I have a lens for zooming and not for macro.

Oh well. You'll just have to come and see it for yourself, sometime.

Here's my "yarn stash". All six skeins. Hahah.

This is the one part of my room that is always organized.

I love having my clothes colour-coordinated. It's conveinet.

And I have more black shirts than all of my other shirts combined, you just can see them all because they go into the depths of my closet. 

So yeaaahhh, here's my real update.

I got money from my Aunt and Uncle for my birthday today and tomorrow I'm cleaning Laurren's room and tomorrow I'm getting everything together for a yard sale soooo.
